Are your rates the best available online?
Our rates will always be (to the best of our knowledge) lower than those available on Booking.com or any Expedia-related company (e.g. Hotels.com, Orbitz, Travelocity, trivago, etc.). If not, get in touch and we will do our best to provide you with a better rate.

We also endeavour to have the best cancellation policy available to those who book directly.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations within 14 days of, or failure to arrive on, the confirmed arrival date will be liable for 100% of the booking.

Reductions to length of stay within 14 days of the confirmed arrival date will be liable for 100% of the agreed booking. This also applies to early check out.

‘No shows’ will be charged 100% of the applicable rate of the total stay.

Your payment card will not be charged unless you fail to check in on, or you cancel within 14 days of, the confirmed arrival date.

Due to our intimate size, any cancellation affects us significantly. We do recommend that you have travel insurance.

For clarification, 14 days, means 14 days from the arrival date in New Zealand time.
How do we get to the Abel Tasman Lodge?

What currency do you use for your rates?
All rates are in New Zealand dollars. They include all local taxes.
Where is the nearest airport?
Nelson airport is about 50 minutes from the Lodge.

How far is the Lodge from the Abel Tasman National Park?
We are just 400 metres from the entrance to Abel Tasman National Park. We are also easy walking distance to beach, shop, cafés, water taxi, kayaking, and most other excursions.
Is breakfast included?
‘Regional Continental’ or ‘European Style’ breakfast is available, but not included in your booking (unless requested).

We can also provide delicious homemade lunches for your trip into the park.

You can organise these when you check-in, including gluten-free and dairy-free options.
When is check-in?
It is normally from 2pm, but you are welcome to arrive earlier, though we cannot guarantee your room will be ready.

Our office closes at 7pm. If you are planning to arrive later on, that is no problem, just let us know and we can arrange a late check-in for you.
Extra people in your chalet?
Extra person charges apply where relevant. Children aged 3 and under are free. Please do let us know if you have an extra person, even if they are under 3, so we can ensure we provide for them.
